Speaker Bio
Kunle is an experienced senior Operations Executive with 30 years of extensive international experience in various roles in the IT and Telecommunications industries.
He graduated from the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife with a B. Sc. (Hon's) in Electronic & Electrical Engineering.
After graduation he worked for Telnet Nigeria Limited between 1992 to1993 as a senior field engineer. He then worked with Orange Business Services from 1993 to 2006 and left as head of Customer Service and operations for Middle East and Africa based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
In 2006 Kunle returned to Nigeria and he joined Motorola Inc as head of the Nigerian Services Business unit and later became the head the Motorola operations and services business for Central and West Africa covering 20+ countries
In 2013 Kunle joined Alcatel Lucent Nigeria as Chief Operating Officer and left in 2015 to become Managing Director for IHS in Rwanda.
In 2016 Kunle was appointed as Vice President Group Operations for IHS group before being appointed CEO IHS Zambia in 2017 with oversight for IHS Rwanda added in 2019.
In his current role as VP, CEO Zambia and Rwanda, he is responsible for the overall P&L and operational delivery for IHS operations in Zambia and Rwanda by optimally managing the company staff and other resources.
He also oversees the successful delivery of all customer commitments and works closely with the IHS Group to initiate and implement the company future growth strategy.
Kunle is a Certified Customer Service Manager, Digital Six Sigma Yellow Badge holder and also has a postgraduate degree in Management from the Management College of South Africa.
