Golala Ruhani is a Digital For Development Policy Lead at the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), working to foster responsible leadership to leverage technology and innovation and deliver scalable and sustainable development solutions to reduce inequalities across the world. She works with stakeholders across the digital ecosystem, telecom operators, regulators, start-ups, donors and implementers. In this role Golala is also leading an organizational shift to integrate climate and environment in Sida´s digital for development portfolios. Prior to joining Sida, Golala worked on global initiatives and on-the-ground in a wide range of countries including, but not limited to Iraq, Jordan, Yemen, Egypt, Lebanon, Kenya and Uganda.
