Session Description
As part of the Africa Policy Leaders Forum, this session is invitation-only. Find out more.
Business sectors in Africa continue to find ways to recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Telecoms sector is no exception as the industry continues to invest in building network infrastructure to guarantee consumers services, with good QoS and affordable prices.
Policies influence innovation in technology. And for this to be encouraged, supportive fiscal measures should be in place to enable the private sector to continue to propose innovative technology solutions to meet society’s needs, mitigate the risks on current and future investments, and encourage productivity.
This session will bring together policy experts, international organizations and business leaders to discuss the state of Fiscal Policy and recent tax reforms in Africa, and their impact on how ICT contributes to Africa’s economy. The session will explore ways in which transitions to an inclusive digital economy can be supported while tackling the constraints of limited public finances.
