Session Description
The GSMA estimates that 5G mobile connections will increase to 27% by 2025, and that 3% of the connected phones in Africa will run on 5G. Beyond network deployment and availability of devices, realising the potential of 5G requires use cases and applications that are relevant to consumers and enterprises in Africa. Exploring Africa’s 5G journey, this session will look at what those use cases are, discussing the investment and technology needed to deploy efficient, green 5G networks, and what challenges need to be addressed to support 5G growth.
